Make Up Treats

Treated myself and mommy to some cosmetics at the Make Up Store today. The gal who served us at the Vivo's branch was pretty nice. We then had dinner at Banquet cos daddy wanted to try out the indon BBQ there.

It was all of wrath and fury yesterday when we were all stuck at the JB traffic jam on our way back. Well, me and my parents had gone down to JB to send our stuffs for tailoring. The tailor, Kim, from Lagenda Creative (Plz Angsana) drew a nice sketch of my outfit. Hopefully Sugar would be OK with what I'm going to do to the Euro Moda fabrics he gave me during our engagement (see purple arrow in pic). So as you've guessed, our theme colour for the next Raya will be pinky panther Insya Allah *kwang kwang*

Say It With Music
To my dearest Johari...

I'll be loving you forever
Deep inside my heart
You'll leave me never
Even if you took my heart
And tore it apart
I would love you still forever
You are the sun
You are my life
And you're the last thing on my mind
Before I go to sleep at night
You're always around
When I'm in need
When trouble's on my mind
You put my soul at ease
There is no one in this world
Who can love me like you do
So many reasons that I
Wanna spend forever with you
I'll be loving you forever
Deep inside my heart you'll leave me never
Even if you took my heart
And tore it apart
I would love you still forever
We've had our fun
And we've made mistakes
But who'd have guessed
That along that road
We'd learn to give and take
It's so much more
Than I could have dreamed (I could have dreamed)
You make loving you
So easy for me
There is no one in this world
Who can love me like you do
That is the reason that I
Wanna share forever with you
I'll be loving you forever
Deep inside my heart you'll leave me never
Even if you took my heart
And tore it apart
I would love you still forever
And boy I pray you'll leave me never
'Cause this is a world where lovers often go astray
But if we love each other?
We won't go won't go that way
So put your doubts aside
Do what it takes that make it rite
'Cause I'll love you
Forever
No one can tear us apart
I'll be loving you forever
Deep inside my heart you'll leave me never
Even if you took my heart
And tore it apart
I would love you

Rainy Sunday
Despite the continuous downpour, we still made our way to Tampines Changkat CC and Punggol to attend those functions. Quite sad that I wasn't able to follow my parents to Mersing. Guess I have to do my part as the ever watchful elder sister. Had fun today and Firdaus's family had been a great host to me, Sugar and Mariana. I like!

Goody 2 shoes
I had been a very good girl for the whole day just now.Only went out to TM to collect the pair of jeans and headed home straight after that- strictly NO shopping done. Caught up with my sleep as I could not even slither into dreamland last night, all thanks to my coffee mixed with kacip fatimah (sorry...they didn't provide a translation for that on the packaging). Woke up at around 7 plus and had been glued to the telly eversince.
The debut episode of
Supernatural was not bad. It's so much better than the one with Jen Hewitt in it...urgh! Mariana seemed busy with her Swed man lately so shan't disturb her on that. Quite happy for her actually. Went into my edumail a/c and saw a message from the VP. It was a reminder on the staff meeting we're all having next Friday. Oh no...the holidays are going to be over in a blink! That means I've to start working on my resolutions for 2007.Let's see how we can work things out here...
(1) Save many, many grands for my wedding (This one will get the utmost priority)
(2) Learn how to cook (Urgent!)
(3) Reduce those fats (I don't wanna look like a gunny sack on my wedding so it's
still under the urgent list)
(4) Improve my pupils' results (Those kids better attend my classes!)
(5) Less afternoon naps
(6) Not to leave school before 3pm daily
(7) Do not bring back my work to complete (Must beat this bad habit!)
There you have it.The list is not exhaustive and I can foresee it lengthening as the days fly by. I'm gonna start planning on my to-do list for tomorrow so I won't be missing out on anything. Nites!

Prison Break
My initial intention of watching
Prison Break all this while was all thanks to Wentworth Miller or better known as Michael Scofield in his series. But as the story unfolds, I found that the series was about appreciating your family members in every right, as you wouldn't know when you'll be losing them. Today's episode was kinda heart-wrenching as his brother was about to be sentenced to the electric chair, for a crime he did not commit. As Scofield attempts to surface justice and truth, he had purposedly carried out an armed robbery so that he'll always be near to his brother in the prison cell.So there you have it...the moral of the whole story has been unveiled by yours truly. There's an encore telecast of the episode this Sat at 4pm.And hey...I'm not moonlighting at Mediacorp to promote their stuffs ok!
Stayed at home just now to catch the
MTV Movie Awards plus other nice programmes like
Against all odds.Being a periodic couch potato is not all that bad after all with some antenna and cable TV to help you with. There's even a tokyo-drift wannabe movie called
D-Trex on the Indo channel, TPI, right now.
I had already planned to bring Sugar to the zoo yesterday for some so-called wildlife entertainment. However, the dark clouds seemed to overshadow the lovely afternoon sun so we decided to just stay indoors instead. As per norm, we had our shopping spree at Vivo, Tamp Mall, Bugis and Mustafa. Can't show you the stuffs we bought right now as some had already been sent for alterations.Oh, that reminds me that I've to collect them by tomorrow.
Guess, I'm gonna start watching the World Trade Centre DVD already. It's been ages since Sugar lent me the disc and it's been collecting dust eversince.Gtg now...Nites!

Happy Poly
Today's visit to Bukit Merah Polyclinic would be going down into my personal record breaker.Poor Sugar was held up in Seletar for more than 2 hours as his workplace was flooded up till the waistline.Eeeks...I can't imagine myself soaking to my weewee.
After fetching him from work at half past 11, we went down to Nenek's place for her usual Polyclinic visits.I didn't know that HPB has now placed a nice aunty at the entrance to issue us our queue number.Looking at the tix...it says - Special Case X076.Huh...I was stunned at first cos I thought that they wanted to assign my poor nenek for some secret agent assignment huahua.True enough, the nice ah-so had actually gave my lil granny a VIP treatment in terms of service and waiting time.Viola! In 30 minutes, we were out of the clinic...which includes doc consultation and purchasing of medicine.Sugar, who initially thought that we'll take a long time, had taken a nap down at Telok Blangah Hill. Both he and grandpa were shocked to see us done with the visit in such a short notice.
So the lesson for the day will read as - Only visit the Polyclinic during lunch hours to avoid the crowd and a nice HPB aunty at the entrance will do you good.Ta...need to send Sugar off to work again.Gosh...it's still raining and will be so till the 21st...hmmph!

Another Wedding
With barely 3 hours of sleep, me & Sugar rushed off to ROMM to attend his brother's wedding at 9am just now. As a self-consolation, Sugar took some pics of me posing at the ever romantic Fort Canning.

Shop till you drop

I'm finally embracing the aftermath of the phrase - shop till you drop. And I ain't too pompous to say that I've been to almost all nooks and crannies in search of the best deals that the whole island has to offer. To sum it up in laymen's terms...I'm physically tired (I'm getting migraines) from all those shoppings for these past few weeks.*Baru padan muka aku* Oh man, to think that I faithfully subscribed to those late night shopping and year end sales (I swear I'm not touching my nemesis)...well, there's always a first time to everything right? Thanks to Shieha (Bashir's wife), I went down straight to Arab St's Anglia on Friday and grabbed 4 tops (including 1 for mummy) for less than 150 bucks.Don't you just love it seeing Anglia stuffs go on sale...I like!Shieha gave me and mummy a cute umbrella too...sweet of u gal. After sending Sugar off to work, I went down to Lavender to meet Mariana where we spent 5 hours in Orchard Road, just doing some high life window shopping plus having a sumptious BREEKS dinner. We were pissed cos they served us the rosemary half chicken first before the soup of the day.Since there were too many alien talks (u know what I mean) going around us, we just decided to ignore the matter totally and continued with the generous feast. We then tried lots of shoes at Marks & Spenc...of which most were unwearable as the materials were sooo keras!Had a good time at the Paragon and Wisma late night shopping though we came back empty-handed haha.
As per norm, I went down to TM and Mustafa yesterday to get my formal pants (I've yet to take them out from the G2000 carrier since yest) and Sugar's salonpas and white spot cream from Mus.Hey you know what...this blog is developing into an avenue for me to list down my shopping fiesta. But who cares, as you can see...I've not put up a comments column or tagbox alike...asking people to come over my blog and start to comment on stuffs I wrote. And I only link the very selected few to my blog.So the bottomline is my blog is for MY own (plus the selected few) reading pleasure only. Those blogs that I've ever came across were just mere emulation of each other...same song, same skin and worst part - same language or should I say same word *camwhoring*.I sooo hate that word!!!
Anyway, I decided to just stay home the whole day just now though I accompanied mommy to her friend's son's wedding in Woodlands.Recollecting what I've been splurging my bonus on, guess I've to start being more prudent in my spending from now on.
Me and Sugar will be going down to ROMM later. No no...not that we're getting married hehe...how I wished! His bro's the one getting married so being the noice future sis-in-law, I'll be giving my share of support to those 2 *kwang kwang*.
For the next few days, my schedule will just include a visit to the Polyclinic with Nenek on Tue and the special surprise I've prepared for Sugar on Wed.I'm supposed to decide on when to meet up with the gals to get Ardah's prezzie plus a lunch with my ex-col from Sembwaste.Hmm so much to do with so little time.Let's just see how it goes lah eh...ta ta...need to wake up early later today.

That time of the month again!
This month is one heavy month. Imagine my car's seat seeing red. Sugar was all too shocked at the sight as he had never seen anything like that before hehe. OK,so he panicked and was rushing for the rags to clean it up. I ran home straight from the carpark, trying to avoid bumping into anyone. We had initially thought that having a mini breakfast together this morning would do no harm but it seems that my flow this time was a tat too heavy.Sighs...guess I've to stay home the whole day though I've already planned to do some shopping later.Been keeping an eye on newspaper adverts for upcoming sales hehe.So many late night shoppings to look out for this weekend.Sweet dreams!

Pay Day & Mama's Birthday Celeb
Alhamdulillah.Pay day was on the 12th so I've decided to give my family an early treat with regards to my mum's birthday. As Sugar was still caught up in JB having done some tinting job to my car, he was unable to join us for dinner @ Eatzi Gourmet, Eastpoint. So sorry dear! We ate quite a lot there but I thought that it was all worth the effort and money. Prior to dinner,I spent quite a bit on getting new outfits come 2007.My whole wardrobe needs a facelift you know, as I've been wearing the same stuffs over and over again. Pathetic right? Got myself some Lesportsac bags too.I sincerely think that the designs are all too cute and unique...awww.
I've been spending lots of time with Sugar eversince his dad passed away.Besides the visits to Pusara Aman,we also dropped by CPF and the mosques to settle some admin matters. Glad that Sugar's feeling alright now. We also took a trip down to Mustafa that Tuesday night, just to get hold of some groceries.Guess I've to re-look at my shopping list to see if I've missed out on anything.TTFN then!

Retail Therapy

Holding all variables constant, I must admit that the aboved title does work wonders, especially so for us women.Prime reason why I've not updated myself here was due to the therapy I was undergoing for the past 3 days, and here I meant the retail one.Last Tuesday was spent in JB with Sugar. We went right up to Pontian Kecil, together with his friends, Nazmi and Maman plus their families.By noon, we went on our separate ways where me and Sugar combed through Giant (Tampoi), Plaza Angsana & City Square.Bought quite a lot of stuffs though, all thanks to Sugar's payday hehe.Dinner was at yummy Kenny Roger's.
We did some marketing at the temporary Geylang market yesterday and had our fav piping hot soto ayam at the hawker section. The next stop was Sheng Shiong supermarket where I managed to grab a nice bohemian top at one of those 'kaki lima' stalls there.A good buy indeed! After having rested enough,me and mummy went out again to Joo Chiat Complex, TM & Ikea. Had a nice plate of nasi padang from Hjh Maimunah, yummy! The 'wow' moment came when we realised that the parking at Ikea was free of charge.3 cheers to Ikea! By the time we got home, we were all totally worn out.
Just when I thought I'd get some rest today, thanks to the recurring chest pains I've been getting since a few days back, my mum dragged me to the JL Expo Sale and Vivocity.I simply love the endless trail of shops selling a variety of items at Vivo.Since Mariana had given me those Tangs vouchers, I got myself a pair of Martina Pink footwear and a Tangs Studio handbag (
see pic).Mum didn't want to be left out so she got herself a nice, ebony handbag as well. The retail therapy did wonders to my chest pains as well.It was gone the moment I started my shopping. So Sugar...you're right all along hehe!Dinner was at Banquet (met my ex-student Ain there and she actually came up to greet me) and we left home right after. So peeps, do not underestimate the effectiveness of retail therapy as it brings about a thousand remedies that one can ever think of.Nites everyone!

My 'Happy Feet'
The week was delirious...packed with so many events that my feet were all too happy for that.Watched Happy Feet with mummy on Thursday and felt that Baby Mumble was even cuter than the hottie from Prison Break (sorry Sugar hehe!).Friday afternoon was a half-day spent with the Band members for a trip to our dear Sentosa.Since I've not set my foot on most of their attractions, a free trip to Fort Siloso, Images of Singapore and the Merlion made my day.Dinner on Friday was at Chai Chee Restaurant where we celebrated Ain's 21st birthday...oh man, I felt old hehe.It was definitely a foray of custaceans and seafood alike and the food's SUPERB! Saturday was definitely a test for my dear feet.It was Sham's birthday so I rushed to TM to get her puffs from Royal and a cute Hello Kitty cake from Polar.Thank God, she loved those stuffs. Then we ventured to Raffles City to get her a pair of Birkens as a birthday gift and then had 'chocolate journey' at Haagen's, Esplanade. Finally, we got to check in into her Hyatt room at 2pm - Room 1369.I simply lurve the gigantic plasma on her wall and the lovely toilet...can simply doze off in it.I left for Yishun from there, just in time to take some pics with Erlin & Wan after their solemnization.Poor Sugar...he had to ferry me here and there just to get to places. After sending Sugar off to werk, I met Mariana at Cisco's Shell where we had dunch (lunch + dinner) at Bagus Yong Tau Foo.Caught up with lots of events going around us whilst munching our share.Highlight for the day was the hi-life shopping, I mean window-shopping in town.Checked out the prices for our wishlist items, hoping that the year-end bonus would be enough to cater to that.Ended our Saturday with a trip to Mustafa and Briyani Chix @ CMK.Fetched Sugar from work on Sunday morning and the rest of the day was spent at Erlin and Wan's wedding functions. On the whole, it was a nice outing and I really enjoyed myself. There are some pics which I've uploaded for u guys here.Gtg now...must prepare the 'chng my car' list for Sugar and then checked out his Dec's pay tonight.TTFN and take care!
